What do you think about Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action film?
I really don’t know how I feel about it yet. I’ve watched the cartoon and it’s alright I mean, I like the story and stuff I just don’t know about a live-action movie about it. I’m quite excited though to see what Shyamalan will do with it. Opinions?
The Last Airbender is an upcoming live action film based on the television series and scheduled for theatrical release on July 2, 2010. The film is directed by M. Night Shyamalan.
I just hope the same thins everyone else hopes for it. I hope they don’t destroy it. The last thing we need is another Dragon Ball Evolution. And of course, I don’t want the whole thing to end in a twist. I can just imagine, at the end of the movie Aang wakes up, and he is in his bedroom at the southern air temple, all the air nomads are alive, and it is 100 years in the past. The WHOLE series was a dream.
I also find it kind of funny. When the cast was originally being formed, most of it’s cast members were white. Now most of them are actually asian of some sort, though I think some are the wrong kind of asian. That guy from Slumdog Millionaire is playing Zuko, but Zuko isn’t Indian, he’s Japanese. And the onlyindisputablyy white character, Aang, is now being played by some asian kid.
I hope for the best though.
