Is this fair punishment? what should i do? – grounded 2 weeks – 17 year old sneaks out to save drunk friend?
OK, heres the story. Sneak out to go pickup a drunk friend wandering the streets and lost, in a bad neighborhood. Pick him up, drive him home, back home in 2hrs. Mom hears me come home, thinks I’ve been up watching movies, so shes pissed. then she goes and checks the hood of the car to see if its warm and she notices i didnt do the alarm. she then takes my keys before i wake up and grounds me for 2 weeks. I tell her why i did it and she says i have to verify my story with the kid and his parents to get out of it. But if i do that, i will probably loose a friend because his dad will beat the shit out of him and he told him he wont pay for college if he fucks up at all.
I dont think what i did was bad. the only reason i snuck out was because I’m 100% sure that my mom would say no.
what should i do?
You were 100% sure she’d say no, so you did it anyway.
Decisions have consequences. Take yours like a man. In another year, you’ll have to do that all the time.
